SHOW NOTES:

Welcome:

My name is Bob Bloom, coming to you from Toronto, Canada.

Welcome to my Blog Talk Radio show, dedicated to Joomla ecommerce.

Every Thursday at 1:00pm (or thereabouts), my guests & I talk about Joomla ecommerce.

As I will specialize in Tienda, the new ecommerce extension by Dioscouri.com, my shows will have a decidedly Tienda bias.

I published my "Open Letter To Clients" this week, explaining why I'm supporting Tienda.

My website is SouthLaSalle.com. All the links from today's show, along with my show notes, are in today's show article.

My support email is now This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Today's show, as are all my shows, will be 30 minutes in length.

My show is available to everyone to listen live.
You can hear my show on-demand on the iTunes podcast directory; and, on BlogTalkRadio.

Email Bag:

By far my favourite email this week was a phone call with a wonderful longtime client. We were talking about Tienda.

She told to visit her competitor's site. Then she asked me if Tienda could do this, and if Tienda could do that. And I replied "yes" to everything.

I replied "yes" in part because I know when I'm stuck I can talk to the Tienda developers -- a new confidence I am enjoying.

It's great being back in the "YES" business.

In The News:

Last week I said that "there is no greater news for the Joomla community than the impending arrival of Tienda". You all probably think this is a puff statement. I'm interviewing Tienda's founder, so of course I'm going to shower him with compliments.

WRONG!

I mean it.

The impending arrival of Tienda is the top story for Joomla ecommerce.

My new article at my flagship SouthLaSalle.com site explains the "push" and "pull" reasons behind my support for Tienda.

Main Stuff:

Which is a great lead-in for this week's guest. None other than the curmudgeon tweeter himself, our Joomla Users Group of Toronto's leader, Mr. Alan Langford.

Alan, thank you for joining us today.

Alan is on the Joomla Bug Squad, on the Joomla Security Team, writes Joomla extensions, and is known for a certain style of prose when tweeting.

It's due to Alan's work with the Joomla Group that I even know about Tienda. For that, I thank you!

Alan, how did you find out about Tienda?

Why did you ask Tienda to come to Toronto this weekend to present Tienda?

When/where is the presentation?

What are your impressions of Tienda?

How did you become involved with JUGT?

Who is involved with JUGT?

Post Show Notes:

The Toronto Joomla Users Group is sponsoring a Tienda presentation on Saturday February 27th. Details available to http://toronto.joomla.ca.

Alan's website is Abivia.net.

We'll be back next Thursday at 1:00pm.
