Oh, just to let you know, I did it again.

Rafael read my http://www.southlasalle.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=141:nooku-framework-for-my-canadian-tax-extension&catid=48:blog&Itemid=43 and he is ticked at me again.

Before I dive in: I changed my article dates in my Joomla database to force the sort of my articles. I copied a lot of articles from my old Wordpress site. Long story short, I don't remember if I changed the date on this specific article, but I probably did.

One thing I'm going to do from now on: delay publishing my articles. I need to edit my articles, to explain things, to be more precise.

Sometimes I'm going to bug Rafael first, so he can get mad at me before I publish!

Rafael refered to http://projects.dioscouri.com/issues/950 -- I wrote this issue!

I said that the I had to hack core Tienda php files to Tienda admin menus were created via a function that needed to be hacked to be changed.

When I wrote my blog post, the only way was to hack the php file.

Did I know there this was changed in the latest Tienda 0.44 release? Yes.

Did I know that there's a new wiki to explain this? Yes.

Did I update my article? Not fast enough. Not fast enough!

Yes, fixed and with a wiki entry to explain it: http://projects.dioscouri.com/projects/tienda/wiki/Add_a_Submenu_Item_to_Tienda (free registration required).

Not only that, but the Tienda wiki now has a few entries that are specifically for Third Party Developers.

Stop for a minute and see what just happened here.

Tienda really is made for Third Party Development.

This commitment to TPD is rarer than you think.

Right here, right now, we have demonstrated tangible evidence of said TPD commitment.

Which means that there's going to be a lot of people working on Tienda beyond the core Tienda Team. And they will be able to create add-ons at a stunning rate.So there will be a feature explosion.

The Tienda issue site is closing in on 1,500 issues! This is STUNNING. Probably beside the point, but I want to mention it anyways.

There's a lot of Third Party loving going on from Dioscouri.

And a lot of passion about it!  I saw it personally here in Toronto in March, and I see it in the emails that I get!

I'm going to compose a separate article about writing my Tienda TPD extension in Nooku right now!

Really, it's not a matter of if you should switch to Tienda. The issue now is when you should switch.
